SEMI MODULAR MONO SYNTH new Analogue Solutions
Semi modular mono synth the Treadstone synthBlock is coming..
Analogue Solutions have announced a new semi modular synth called the Treadstone synthBlock. The boutique UK synth company will launch the new mini synth in January next year, claiming that “no compromise has been made with the construction of Treadstone”. With an oscillator variable between saw and square wave, MIDI sequencer, noise and sub oscillators, LFO, PWM and an on-board digital lo-fi delay, it’s a simple but powerful unit.
No word on price yet, but with Analogue Solutions’ reputation for quality, expect it to be on the higher side. If you can’t wait till January, why not check out Novation’s Circuit? Watch it in action here. If you’re still getting into modular, here’s a cheaper alternative to get your head around the ever-growing concept.
Modular synthesizers are synthesizers composed of separate modules of different functions. The modules can be connected together with patch cords, a matrix patching system, or switches by the user to create a patch. The output (voltages) from the modules may function as (audio) signals, control voltages, or logic/timing conditions. Typical modules are oscillators (operate on frequency), filters (spectrum), amplifiers/gates (amplitude) and Envelope generators (dynamic control).
